Scanning & Restoration
Digitization of prints from any size up to 8.5x11, any quantity of 35mm negatives, mounted 35mm slides. Restoration of digital images in any format, business or personal, accepted from any type of digital camera. Other print types and negatives may be accepted depending on project size and equipment availability.
Restoration and scanning projects are quoted based on the size of the project, desired storage media for the finished product, and return of materials. All projects begin with a free consultation to determine scope of work, type of media and provide any needed advice on cataloging and sorting originals.
All items submitted for service are reviewed individually and processed for white balance as well as color and lighting/tone balance and correction. Optional services include red eye removal on client selected images, or on an as quoted basis for an entire collection.
Delivery options include CD/DVD, flash media, external hard drive, online delivery via ZIP file, NRS Media hosted gallery or other online photo or storage service provided by the client.
White Glove Service
All original slides and negatives will be handled in accordance with Library of Congress standards including the use of cotton archival gloves to avoid finger prints and dirt. Additionally, all original materials submitted to us will be returned in archival safe pages and/or boxes for easy storage. This is part of our standard service and efforts to protect the client's materials during processing and well into the future after they're returned.
Some online scanning services will send your slides/negatives overseas for processing. With us, your materials will be processed at a single site, and optionally returned by same day courier or personal delivery at the conclusion of the job to ensure they are not lost or damaged in transit.
